Top 10 FAQs
Answers to what people ask us most before they get started.
What is Thymos Health?
Thymos Health is virtual, specialty autoimmune care. You're matched with a specialist trained across the whole autoimmune spectrum who investigates root cause across your entire body, rather than one organ or one diagnosis at a time.
Do I need a diagnosis to get started?
No. Many patients come to us without one — after years of symptoms, normal-looking labs, and being told nothing is wrong. You don't need a diagnosis to belong here; you need to still not have answers.
What conditions does Thymos treat?
Thymos treats over 150 autoimmune disorders and the complex conditions that often ride alongside them, including combinations conventional care is least equipped to catch — from Hashimoto's and rheumatoid arthritis to lupus, MS, Crohn's, and beyond.
How is Thymos different from the doctors I've already seen?
Most specialists are trained to look at one organ system. Autoimmune disease rarely respects that boundary — your Thymos specialist looks at your whole body, and your plan can include medication management, environmental exposures, nutrition, sleep, movement, and stress, not medication alone.
What does the process actually look like?
Five steps: you share your full history, we order the labs that answer the right questions, you meet your specialist and get a personalized plan, we fine-tune that plan together in real time, and you get back to living your life.
Is this fully virtual? Do I need to travel anywhere?
Yes, it's fully virtual. Visits happen by video, and we get you set up for labs at a local lab near you — no travel to a Thymos clinic required.
Where do I get my labs done?
We'll get you set up at a local lab convenient to you. These are the labs your specialist needs to see how your condition is changing and find what conventional testing may have missed.
How quickly will I start to feel better?
It varies, but symptom relief often begins within weeks, not years. 80% of patients feel meaningful symptom reduction within 3 months, and 67% see measurable inflammation reduction within 6 months.
Will my insurance cover this program?
No, Thymos works directly for our patients and is 100% insurance-free with transparent pricing based on your specific symptom severity and treatment needs. There are no surprise deductibles or copays to worry about. While we don't accept traditional insurance, our services are FSA/HSA eligible.
What if I need to cancel?
You can cancel your Thymos Health membership at any time. Our cancellation policy is detailed in our Terms of Use policy. If you decide to cancel, your autoimmune specialist will help you create a transition plan, so you can continue to work on your health goals, even if it's not with us. And of course, we are always here if you wish to rejoin!
